…Trying to figure out what to do with the last bit of time I have before college life starts up again. Really prolly should be doing something great for myself (yoga perhaps). Mostly I’m waiting for that motivation I once had to reemerge.

And celebrating my daily victories against one very anxious opponent.

Heres to a fresh start for the beginning of the continuation of my life.

• Eavesdropping on a phone conversation
• Watching fish and crabs in a fish tank
• Catching up on some comic-web-strips
• and petting a cat

Left FL in the morning, drove into Alabama only to see the Confederate flag, flying high…what a proud people they are.

Then into Mississippi…where the welcome sign tells me that apparently its “just like coming home”…the people who came up with that slogan obviously have never been to my home. We dont often have wild boars dead on the side of the road where I’m from. 

Finally arriving late afternoon in New Orleans. Walked and toured around for hours and I’m sure the trolley tour would have been much more enjoyable had I not spend the previous 7 plus hours in the car.

The mow’s seemed to like New Orleans…well to be exact they liked our room (the under the bed part of the room) I think.

This is quite the city. Will I be back…maybe? What I do know however is that the jazz blaring through our closed windows is far more enjoyable then the party or whatever it is that is going on in the hallway of our hotel.

Tired is the understatement of the day.

Tomorrow we’ll be off to TX…See you there!

By 2.30pm the mow’s and J were all tucked into the car and ready to go and 8hrs later, 10.40pm to be exact, we arrived in Tallahassee. It really didnt seem that long…I was worried more about the cats than about anything else and they were wonderful. Oh please I hope this holds up for days 2 through 6.

So we’ve got a short turn around tonight, and then we’ll be off to start the adventures of day 2 on the road.

Wish they had something like that when I was young…we totally need more rocker chicks in this world!

As short as my experience was with the shelter, I will remember it for my entire lifetime. Thankyou to everyone who adopted Blackie, Henry, Shawn, Monty and that little orange one and to those who will adopt Dutchess, Rebecca, Kevin and lifelong shelter siblings Sonny and Cher.

I will hold the memories of each, purr, lick and cuddle in my heart forever.

Its like that one epsode of ‘Malcom in the Middle’, when the boys find a new mattress in the middle of the street, drag it home and it then becomes thier undoing. They cant do anything but sleep, they start missing important events and pass the days away in its soft embrace.

Thats how this is.

Today I layed down to watch my new Simpsons dvds, 2 epsodes into them and I was gone…only to wake up 5 hours later!!! I swear if my sheets were like sand paper and my bed hard and lumpy, I’d sleep only at night and for the minimal amount of time needed to function. Rather than the endless amount of sleeping I am seeming to do, in my current situation.

On ‘Malcom’ what did they do? Well Dewey took the initative to rid them of the new mattress…so that they could get back to thier normal everyday lives. I on the other hand have no intention to follow suit…lol

I cant wait to try it out this week…steam up some green beans and baby potatoes….mmm…ok now I’m hungry.
