Cheese bread.
It could only have been a pure genius that came up with such a comforting and delishious creation, the marriage of cheddar cheese and white bread.
Two items that stand incredibly strong on thier own, swirled together into and crispy and flavorful, moist loaf. In my opionion other then the chocolate covered pretzle, the cheese loaf is one of the best items to indulge in…in the entire world.
While I was home visiting, my mom took me to an old bakery, for a treat and we ended up also leaving with a hearty sized cheese loaf. For the following day and evening I ate as much as I could possibly handle of this loaf, until it was no more.
While eating slice after cheesy slice I was imagining all the options for toppings to add to my bread, jams, more cheese, butter, anything to make this already great bread even better. I tried some homemade strawberry jam and that was fantastic but before long I was out to bread, having shared it with my mom and dad.
What a savory memory.
