Unpacking: what a bore.
I tried to ignore them, but my two unpacked suitcases managed to occupy much of my thoughts today. Possibly because they had been in the same location since I arrived home last night, or maybe it was the thought that eventually I’d have to unpack them…like it or not.
Someone needs to offer an unpacking service where they just automatically know when youre arriving home and while you are sleeping they unpack everything and put it all back where it belongs.
I havent packed for a three week vacation in a long time, so of course I would pack a lot but can say I used everything except for a pair of jeans and my beach sarong. So thats not bad. I think it took me a couple hours to pack, moments to unpack, another hour or so to repack and now I guess I should add all of that together and that should give me my final unpacking estimate…of 4-5 hours. So I guess I should pace myself, an hour today, the next day, the next day and then I should be done by 2007.
I do however enjoy the new memories assoicated with the unpacking, the new outfits, new makeup, all the fun things you get while on vacation. I made some really fantastic memories when I was home, spent really quality time with my mom and dad and had a couple of laughs with my brother. I got to semi-cuddle with some felines and eat my weight in Tim Hortons pasteries. So I guess I shouldnt complain about the unpacking, because in the end it was worth it.
